A Demolition Operations Support Driver is responsible for supporting the logistical operations and safe transportation of demolition equipment, welfare units, demolition attachment units, and materials between sites and depots. This role combines driving duties with practical on-site support to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient demolition operations. You will play a vital role in maintaining project schedules, promoting site safety, and assisting with day-to-day logistics to keep demolition projects running effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Safely operate company vehicles to transport demolition equipment, welfare units, attachment units, materials, and waste between sites and depots.
• Coordinate and support site logistics, ensuring timely collection and delivery of materials and equipment as per project schedules.
• Assist demolition teams with on-site operations, including loading/unloading vehicles, setting up welfare areas, moving equipment, and maintaining site infrastructure.
• Conduct vehicle checks, complete maintenance logs, and ensure all transport documentation and records are accurate and up to date.
• Follow all company and site health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with site managers, plant operators and logistics teams to plan transport routes and minimise downtime.
• Maintain a professional and well-presented vehicle and work environment at all times.
• Report any vehicle defects, safety concerns, or incidents immediately to management.
Skills:
• Valid UK driving licence (Category C or above preferred, depending on vehicle type).
• Valid CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Proven experience in demolition, construction logistics, or plant/equipment transport preferred.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling when loading or unloading materials.
Working Conditions:
• Predominantly site-based, involving regular travel between demolition projects.
• Monday-Friday 7am-4pm.
• Full PPE and relevant training provided by the business
